Ms. Brenda Truelove

Program Manager, Corporate Engagement

Brenda is an alumnus of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Health Studies. Her training and development training portfolio with the College of Continuing Studies includes the manufacturing and technology sectors with special emphasis on Maintenance and Supply Chain Logistics Management for industries and service professionals. Her conference related expertise includes Aging Successfully, Alzheimer's/Dementia, Cyberforce Security, Grief and Bereavement, the University’s CISCO Networking Academy, and the 2015 Service Member to Civilian National Summit. Brenda serves on the Bama at Work Corporate Engagement team as a Program Manager. She regularly engages with corporations and executives to connect resources from the university at large to business needs. She is currently managing the business acumen portfolio of training workshops that include such topics as: Lean/Six Sigma, Maintenance Management, Professionally Speaking, Project Management, and Lean Six/Sigma.

Ms. Mary Patterson

Program Manager, Corporate Engagement

Mary Patterson works in the College of Continuing Studies at The University of Alabama as Program Manager where she assists the CCS team in designing and implementing professional development and training programs, industrial training programs, offered in on-campus, on-site or online venues.  Ms. Patterson has a Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Alabama’s Culverhouse College of Commerce with a major in accounting.    She is a Certified Public Accountant and stays abreast of current developments relevant to business owners including management, economics, accounting, taxation and marketing.   She worked previously as Director of the Alabama Entrepreneurial Research Network (AERN) in the Culverhouse College of Commerce to bring the resources from the University of Alabama down to the community level.  She is a member of the Tuscaloosa Chapter of the Alabama Society of CPAs, the Culverhouse Commerce Executives Society and the Southern Automotive Women’s Forum.

Mr. Derrick Flowers, Jr

Mr. Derrick Flowers, Jr.

Program Coordinator, Corporate Engagement

Derrick Flowers, Jr. is the Program Coordinator for the Corporate Engagement Division of the College of Continuing Studies. He earned his associate’s degree in Liberal Arts from Bevill State Community College and his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration – Marketing from the Mississippi University for Women. Employed by The University of Alabama since August 2014, Derrick has made many accomplishments in his professional growth, of which, he was honored with the Rickey Yanaura Crimson Spirit Award in July 2016! With great enthusiasm and strong work ethic, Derrick has set goals to continue in higher education.
